FOXCLIFF GOLF CLUB

The Board of Directors of Foxcliff Golf Club has determined the following rules and regulations to govern the "club" until further notice.

Course Rules
1.
The use of metal spikes on the golf course is prohibited. Spikeless alternatives will be available in the Golf Shop. All players must adhere to this policy.
2.
The golf course is for golf only.
3.
All play is to begin on the #1 tee unless other instructions are given by the pro shop personnel. Play continues through 18. Tee preferences will not be given to those who decide to replay 1-9 for their second 9 holes.
4.
3-somes and 4-somes have preference on course.
5.
Practice is limited to driving range, practice greens and bunkers on range. The putting green at the golf shop is limited to chipping only. Pitching and full shots into this green are prohibited.
6.
Each golfer must have proper attire and their own equipment.
7.
All rules are subject to the discretion of the pro shop personnel.
8.
No pets allowed on golf course at any time.
9.
Handicap Posting:
a)
All scores must be posted for handicapping purposes. A minimum of five scores must be turned in for a handicap. Scores will be posted by the golf staff. The responsibility lies with each member to properly report his/her scores, so that the handicap reflects his/her true ability.
b)
The USGA allows handicap committees to arbitrarily reduce or increase a handicap if a member does not turn in all scores or otherwise does not observe the spirit of the handicapping system. No member has an inherent right to a handicap without providing full evidence of his/her ability.
c)
If a member belongs to more than one golf club, (s)he should designate one club as the home club and return to that club all scores, course ratings, and slope ratings. Otherwise, the lowest handicap must be used in all events.
10.
The golf course may be closed by directions of the superintendent, pro shop personnel or director. When the course if closed, ALL PLAY is terminated until further notice.
11.
No Alcoholic beverages of any kind shall be carried in or on to Foxcliff Golf Club premises due to violation of the State Liquor Laws. Violators will be asked to remove the product from the premises and disciplinary action against the offender(s) could result.
12.
All regular scheduled golf member events take priority of play on the golf course.
13.
All golfers must register prior to starting play. If the golf shop is NOT open, then the golf course is NOT open.
14.
Slow Play - Keep moving as you play. Please keep your round to 4 hours. Keep your guests moving and following course rules.
15.
Please rake traps and place rake inside trap, not outside.
16.
Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays during peak playing times, the golf course must be utilized to its maximum capacity, therefore only groups of 3 or four will be allowed to tee off on Saturdays from opening time to 12 noon and Sundays/Holidays from opening time to 3:00 P.M. No fivesomes allowed during tee time season. The golf shop will assist members in grouping together players.
17.
Tee Times - Beginning Saturday, March 20 through October 27, members will need to make reserved tee times on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. The following are the Rules and Regulations for obtaining a tee time: Reservations will be accepted 4 days in advance, beginning at 8:00 A.M. For example, call Tuesday at 8:00 A.M. for a Saturday tee time. No walk-in reservations will be accepted unless the phone has stopped ringing for a period of one minute. Please request desired time with names of playing partners. Reserved tee times for 3-somes or 4-somes only, please. Groups with less than 4 players may be filled with other call-ins, unless you intend to fill the group yourself. If changes are made within your group, please notify shop. No standing tee times will be available except for the Men's and Women's Choose-ups and other groups receiving prior approval of the Board of Directors. The first tee will be open on a first come, first serve basis after the last tee time that day Saturday 2:00 P.M., Sunday/Holiday 3:00 P.M.

Guests
1.
Guests will be allowed to play a maximum of six (6) 18 hole rounds on a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday per season. No limitation on play during the week. Guests must be registered in the Golf Shop prior to teeing off.
2.
Monday - Thursday; Member's must make arrangements at the pro shop for their unaccompanied guests to play. Without prior arrangements, unaccompanied guests will not be permitted to play.
3.
Friday - Sunday& Holidays - A member may brings guests provided such guests are accompanied by the member. Members shall be held responsible for the conduct and actions of such guests.
4.
Members are advised to inform guests of club dress code prior to arriving at golf course.
The Dress Code Will Be Enforced, No Exceptions.
Shirts must meet PGA Tour Guidelines (No T-Shirts)

Outings
1.
Check the Bulletin Board outside pro shop for outing and other event information.
2.
The course will be open for members to play unless specifically stated as "closed". The course will be considered closed when an outing consists of 80+ players.
3.
When an outing "closes" the course (80+ players) ALL participants in outing (including members) will pay the FULL amount of entry. Green fees for members will be waived only if the course remains open to all members.

Cart Rules
1.
No rental for less than 9 holes.
2.
Do not ask for rain-checks.
3.
Do not take club carts home.
4.
Private cart ownership is a privilege of stockholders of Foxcliff Golf Club, Inc. or limited partners of Foxcliff Associates.
5.
Operators of carts, private or club owned, must have a VALID INDIANA DRIVER'S LICENSE and be no younger than 16 years one month.
6.
Operators of carts are personally and financially responsible for damages to carts. Members are responsible for damages caused by their guests.
7.
Carts cause most of the damage done to a golf course. Drive them with caution and concern for your golf course. Please keep carts on cart paths where cart paths are provided.
8.
Please observe all posted cart directional signs.
9.
Respect private property and do not drive carts into property owners lawns.
10.
During peak cart usage periods on weekends and holidays, golf carts will only be rented at the full 9 hole and 18 hole rates. A single rider during these times must pay the full rental rate 9 holes = $12, 18 holes = $24.
11.
90 Degree Rule - Carts must be on cart paths at all times around tees and greens. Carts should use paths as much as possible in other areas. When crossing fairways, carts should cross at 90 degrees. Do NOT drive carts down the middle of fairway.

Practice Areas
1.
The range will be open between April 1st and October 28th. (Range season - weather permitting)
2.
To allow for the range to be thoroughly picked before the weekly mowing, the range will be closed on most Tuesday mornings until approximately 10:00 A.M.
3.
Personal shags may not be used during "range season".
4.
Hit between ropes.
5.
Chipping Area: A) Chip/Pitch to green only from within roped areas. Do NOT hit full shots into this green. B) Practice Bunker - Please rake sand after use.
6.
Putting Green is for putting and chipping only.
7.
Only authorized employees will be permitted to shag balls.
8.
Range membership available.

Dress Code

Proper golfing attire is required for ALL players.
The Dress Code Will Be Enforced, No Exceptions.

Men  

1.

Shirts must have collars and sleeves.
2.
Not permitted: Torn shirts, shorts, or pants, "athletic" shorts, "cutoffs".
Women  
1.
No strapless tops or halters.
2.
No running shorts, "cutoffs", or tennis attire.

Juniors
1.
All juniors must have permission to play without an adult. A list will be posted with the names of those eligible to play by themselves and on weekends prior to 4 P.M. This privilege is based on demonstrated skill of the game of golf and the ability to know and observe the rules and etiquette of golf.
2.
Juniors, 14 and under, may not be on the course on weekends or holidays prior to 12:00 noon. See exception above.
3.
A junior will be asked to leave the course, and the parent will be contacted if the intent of the rules is not followed.
4.
Junior Program - Friday A.M. Begins June 7. Group clinics, playing time, weekly tournaments.

Other Information
Leagues
1.

FWGA

  The Foxcliff Women's Golf Association has tee preference as follows:
  Monday: 5:00 - 5:45 P.M.
  Tuesday: 8:30 A.M. April, May, September
    7:45 A.M. June, July, August
2.
Men's Tuesday Evening Choose.
  Begins Tuesday, April 23rd, 5:30 start. Call in by 5:00 P.M. to get your name on the list.

Choose-Ups
Men's -Monday and Thursday 8:00 A.M.
  -Saturday 7:30 A.M. and 8:30 A.M.
  -Sunday 7:30 A.M.
 
If a player would like to play in the Men's Sat. 8:30 A.M. choose-up, he must call the Golf Shop by 7:00 A.M. Saturday morning. Teams will be formed between 7:00 A.M. and 7:30 A.M. Call back after 7:30 A.M. for your assigned team and tee time.

Miscellaneous
1.
To be eligible to play in a club tournament that determines a club champion (medal or match), you must be a member. (Not a dependent nor a junior)
2.
Dependents are welcome to play in ABCD Scrambles, holiday tournaments, choose-ups, and Friday Nite events. USE judgement.

 Accounts Receivable - Billing Procedure 
1.
Each sales slip will be entered separately with the exception of food charges. These slips will be totaled and called food and drink purchases.
2.
Statements (with invoice detail) are dated as of the 1st of the month. The monthly dues are for the current month. The charges are for the prior month.
3.
The total amount of the statement is due upon receipt. Payments received after the last day of the month will be assessed a late charge of $10.00.
4.
All transactions and records are recorded in duplicate and the files are in the office. If you have a question concerning your statement, either call the pro shop and leave a message or return the yellow copy of your statement with the appropriate comments. Your account will be verified and you will be notified.
5.
All charge slips should be signed and please make signature legible.
6.
If you wish to be billed annually for your dues, send in a written request with the January billing. Those members who requested annual billing will receive a January annual billing the next year. If you wish an annual billing or a change from an annual to a monthly; contact the office, and the necessary adjustments will be made.

Resolution

All members retain their membership in perpetuity as long as they are in good standing and as long as Foxcliff Associates own the golf course.
